2008 USA Olympics FDC - autographed

This one is dedicated to my neighbor, Alicia Sacramone !! Well... she kind of lives near me, well, to be honest.... a few towns apart, but definitely in the same state :-) She definitely deserved a medal.

Autographed by Clarence Lee, the stamp designer. Would like to get Alicia's autograph too - don't know how to approach and go through all the red tape. Getting an autograph from an artist is way easier !!

Great Britain : RAF - Uniforms FDC

This set of stamps would come out in September. I like the flame and fire the aircraft is spitting out.

Some people like all the stamps of a set on one cover, so I made this cover with all the Classic Films stamps.

Austria Lenticular stamp FDC

Photobucket

This could be a world premier !! A Hand Painted FDC on a lenticular stamp. Only 6 produced.

Date of Issue : 5 May 2008

Austrian Post has produced an official stamp using lenticular printing technology. 48 images of a TV recording have been superposed, so to the viewer the optical effect looks like a film sequence of approximately 3 seconds. The stamp features the goal scored by Andi Herzog, Austria's football player, in the 76th minute of the game against Sweden on September 6th, 1997. The goal paved the way for the Austrian national team to enter the main draw of the 1998 World Championships in France.

I suffered some monetary loss as my first packet of stamps did not arrive. Then Austria Post sent me a second batch by registered post. Wish the stamps were not so expensive ( face value 5.45 euro)

Great Britain : Air Display

This is a mock up of the upcoming Air Display for 17th July. This is a RAF Hawk trainer. Watercolor on 100% cotton paper. Used ink to create the borders first. I used Staedtler pens 0.1 mm. Used some sparkly pens from my kids to create the RAF logo to make them shine under the sun.

Limited edition of 10
